If you’re thinking about transferring to MSU, connecting with an admissions counselor is a great first step. They can help you explore how credits typically transfer, point you to helpful planning tools, and answer questions about your path to MSU.
Envision Green is a partnership between Lansing Community College (LCC) and Michigan State University designed to support students who plan to transfer from LCC to MSU. Through Envision Green, LCC students receive early access to MSU advising, transfer planning support, and connections to academic and campus resources, helping make the transition to MSU smoother.
If you’ve been admitted to MSU, welcome! If it feels like not much is happening yet, that’s normal. Before transfer credits are finalized and plans really start to take shape, you’ll need to complete New Student Orientation (NSO), connect with an academic advisor, and take care of enrollment steps. These milestones unlock next steps like a deeper review of your credits and course planning.
Once you’ve completed NSO and enrolled, your major advisor becomes your go‑to resource for academic support. They can help you understand how your credits apply, plan future coursework, explore opportunities within your major, and talk through next steps toward graduation. Learn about advising by college.
The Transfer Student Success Center is also here to support you beyond academics offering resources, connections, and programming designed specifically for transfer students as you settle into life at MSU.
